Who is eligible for the Academic license?
Academic licenses are offered to students and professors for teaching and academic research activities. Academic licenses cannot be used for postdoctoral research or commercial purposes.

Is technical support included?
We offer premium support with every industry licenses. Our technical support is available by phone, by email, or through our helpdesk. Our team is made up of engineers experienced in power electronics and simulation.
Do you offer floating or multi-user licenses?
Yes! Multi-user licenses offer an unlimited number of users but the total number of people accessing the product at any given time is limited to the total number of subscriptions purchased. The cost per user is 50% higher than regular industrial licenses. Contact us for a quote or for additional information.
What are the payment modes?
Credit card payment is the primary payment mode. If you wish to pay with a different payment method (purchase order, check, or wire transfer), please contact us.
How long licenses are valid?
Academic licenses are valid until the end of the academic year (usually on June 30th) and can be renewed.
Industry licenses can be used as long as the subscription is active. Industry licenses expire at the end of the billing period if the subscription is canceled.
What platforms and languages are supported?
SIMBA and the SIMBA Python API are compatible with every Windows 7 and Windows 10 machines. Windows 7 support might be dropped in 2021. SIMBA is currently only available in English.
On how many computers can SIMBA be installed?
There is no restriction on the number of computers where you may install SIMBA. This is also true for the SIMBA Python API. However, a SIMBA license cannot be shared by multiple users.
